PV Sindhu: A Badminton Legend

PV Sindhu is one of India’s most accomplished athletes, having won medals in every major badminton tournament, including the Olympics. Born in Hyderabad, Sindhu’s love for badminton was nurtured from a young age by her parents, who were both national-level volleyball players.

Sindhu’s rise in badminton began with her international debut in 2009, but she grabbed global attention after winning a bronze medal at the 2013 World Championships. Her breakthrough came when she clinched silver at the Rio 2016 Olympics, becoming the first Indian woman to win an Olympic silver in badminton. In 2019, she solidified her place among the greats by winning the BWF World Championships gold.

Off the court, Sindhu is a role model, known for her discipline, hard work, and grace. She is actively involved in promoting sports in India and encouraging young girls to pursue their dreams.
