Academy for Solution Focused Approaches & Research (ASFAR)
ASFAR is an organization that aims to propagate and develop solution focused approach through research, practice and supervision. To meet this end, ASFAR provides education and credentialing, organizes seminars, workshops and conferences and promotes research on the application of solution focused approaches in diversified fields such as mental health, education, coaching and organizational development. Solution Focused approach is a future focused and goal directed approach, focusing on the strengths and resources an individual possesses to construct solutions.
ASFAR is founded by two psychologists with several years of experience practicing in solution focused approach, Jaseem Koorankot (India) and Arnoud Huibers (The Netherland), with the mission to develop the theory and advance the practices in the field of solution focused approach. Apart from Solution Focused Brief Therapy, ASFAR helps those in the fields of education, coaching, social work and human resource to learn and adopt SF approach in their respective areas of work. ASFAR also collaborates with different organisations to conduct conferences, trainings and researches, like Solutions Centre in The Netherlands, Mind Weavers in India, Helsinki Brief Therapy Institute in Finland etc. ASFAR welcomes people and organisation to work together for developing solution focused approach around the glob.
